Pastor Report:
- Everything going well, although no baptisms so far this year.
Children’s Ministry – Jeanette Rodgers:
- Going strong – thank you for your involvement in Easter egg hunt. We had lots of filled eggs and many families attended. Thank you to Beau Brewer for sharing the Easter story and to Nick Alvarez for dressing up as the Easter bunny.
- VBS planning meeting today and canvasing the community – another gospel opportunity
- Please see Jeanette if you would like to be involved in the children’s ministry in any way
Youth Ministry – Nick Alvarez:
- Thank you for your continued support of our fundraisers for youth camp.
- Beau Brewer will be involved with helping the youth going out and sharing the gospel with others outside the church. The youth have specifically requested interest in doing this.
Deacons – Robert Boyer
- Thank you for support of the deacons. We have revised our list.
- We would like to add another deacon, if anyone is interested.
Budget/Finance/Treasurer – Dewayne Stewart
- We had a balanced quarter. Dewayne reviewed the budget vs. actual statement
Missions Committee
- Asking for help to fund the mission trip to Columbia.
- Asking finance committee to add mission fund to budget.
New Business
Bill Blagg made a motion to elect Beau Brewer, Christa Brewer and Jason Rodgers as messengers to the 2023 SBC in NOLA, and for the church to provide funding between $500 and $700 per messenger.
- Chris Turner 2nd
- Cheryl Lyman spoke against the motion stating that it should go to the finance
committee. She stated the church had recently spent over $10,000 on
maintenance of HVAC and Fire Alarm System.
- Rob Boyer asked the nature of the trip and the moderator explained that the
messengers conduct the business of the SBC.
- Dewayne Stewart spoke against the motion
- Cheryl Lyman proposed separating electing messengers and funding the
messengers and to table the vote on funding and it passed.
- The church voted to approve Beau and Christa Brewer, and Jason Rodgers as
messengers to the SBC 2023.
- Motion to fund messengers was tabled
- Bill Blagg made a motion to approve Beau Brewer, Chris Sykes, Jake Rodgers,
and Nick Alvarez as short term missionaries to help Bryan Massey in Colombia.
- Bill Blagg wanted to request $6000 funding from the church to help with airfare but the moderator suggested against it to avoid further conflict.

- No discussion and motion Passed without funding
Motion to end the meeting made by Tom Lyman, seconded by Robert Boyer
